About Fuel Train Wizard
A fuel-train design workstream with sizing and bill-of-materials outputs. Component selections, Burner Management System suitability, and relief-installation requirements need independent confirmation before procurement or construction. Open directly for a fuel-train quote, or continue from Heater Wizard to include both specifications in one request.

04 / PRESSURE REGULATION & RELIEF

Regulator/Relief Sizing Calculator

PRELIMINARY SIZING · REVIEW REQUIRED

Open Sizing Calculator ↗

Size regulators and relief devices for your natural gas application in seconds. Enter your operating pressures and flow requirements to generate sizing results instantly, then submit your selections for a quote. We’ll review your request and email your quote promptly.

About the sizing calculator
Compare Fisher 627 / 627R series, BelGAS 627 series, Dresser ROOTS, Mooney and Flexflo regulators against each manufacturer’s published capacity tables, with Mooney pilots and accessories. Size the downstream Mercer or Taylor relief valve for a wide-open regulator failure, check 627R / R627 internal relief, or size a relief valve on its own. Request a quote for a specific result with its sizing inputs and review notes included. Final selections require confirmation against current manufacturer data, application requirements, and relief-installation requirements. Relief mode is not a complete overpressure-protection design. Badge equipment is illustrative, not a specific manufacturer model.

05 / ODORIZATION

Odorant Supply Calculator

USAGE ESTIMATE · ODORANT RFQ

Open Supply Calculator ↗

Estimate odorant usage, days of supply, and your reorder date from station flow and injection rate. Check NJEX pump capacity at peak flow, then order odorant: your calculator results are included in the quote request automatically. We’ll review your request and email your quote promptly.

About the supply calculator
Covers Arkema Spotleak blends and THT with YZ Systems NJEX odorizers, max/average/low flow cases, a new-steel-pipe fade factor, an annual estimate, and the top-off quantity to reach the maximum fill level. Densities are estimated from component specific gravities; use the SDS or lot value when available. The calculator sets a starting injection rate and supply estimate only. It does not confirm odorization compliance; verify odorant levels in the field.

06 / ODORIZATION

Odorant Use from Pump Strokes

FIELD ESTIMATE

Open Stroke Calculator ↗

Enter the stroke count from your YZ odorizer display to estimate gallons and pounds of odorant used, with per-day, monthly, and yearly projections, tank use, and pump utilization.

About the stroke calculator
Volume is strokes × cc per stroke (NJEX 6300 = 0.1 cc, 7300 = 1.0 cc, 8300 = 6.0 cc). Output per stroke can drift with line pressure, check valves, and pump wear, so confirm against the tank level drop. For dual-pump units, add the stroke counts from both pumps.

07 / GAS PIPING

Meter Set / Service Line Wizard

PRELIMINARY SIZING · REVIEW REQUIRED

Open Meter Set Wizard ↗

Work back from your load to the main: total the equipment load, size building piping, pick a meter and Dresser regulator family, then size the service line in steel or PE and check the excess flow valve. Request a quote for the meter, regulator, ERT and EFV with your sizing included.

About the meter set / service line wizard
Natural gas or propane vapor. Building piping uses the IFGC 402.4 equations with actual pipe inside diameters; service lines use the IGT Distribution or Mueller equation with a velocity check. Meter, regulator and EFV data come from manufacturer literature (Dresser ROOTS, Elster American, Itron, UMAC/GasBreaker, Elster Perfection). Results are preliminary: final design must follow NFPA 54 / IFGC, 49 CFR Part 192, NFPA 58 and the serving utility's standards.

Engineering tools support your workflow. Outputs require qualified review against application requirements, manufacturer data, and applicable codes. Caddy Controls has no business relationship with the manufacturers listed in these tools. These tools are not a substitute for a qualified engineer. RFQs are sent to regional reps for review and quoting. Want a product line added to the calculators? Reach out.

THE CADDY CONTROLS APPROACH

The calculation matters.
So does the experience.

TECHNICIAN-DRIVEN. BY DESIGN.

A calculation is only part of the job. Understanding how natural gas process equipment is installed, operated, serviced, and repaired brings the application into focus.

Caddy Controls tools are shaped by real-world technician experience, not just textbook calculations. That experience informs the questions we ask, the inputs we capture, and the way we organize the work.

Practical experience and sound engineering belong together. Caddy Controls is bringing the two together for our customers in order to be a partner you can rely on.
